Dublin Airport delays over radar fault
Dublin-
The Irish Aviation Authority said around 20 flights have so far been delayed by restrictions imposed following a radar fault at Dublin Airport last night. The Dublin Airport Authority said there will still be a knock-on effect when restrictions are lifted and it will take some time for things to return to normal.
However they hoped there would be some improvement for passengers later this morning.
Passengers are being advised to check with their airlines for more specific information.
The radar at the airport went down for 30 minutes late yesterday evening, and several flights were delayed as a result. It is working again this morning but restrictions are in place on the number of flights that can arrive and depart. Lilian Cassin of the Irish Aviation Authority said the cause of the radar failure was being investigated and that the restrictions were in place as a precaution.
