Study shows women work longer days than men
Dublin- Women work an average of 39 minutes longer than men every day, according to a new report from the ESRI.
The study of over a thousand men and women also shows the distribution of paid and unpaid work is very different between the sexes. Men spend an average of 4 hours 40 minutes on paid work per day, and under two hours on unpaid work. But their female counterparts spend just over 2 hours a day on paid work but over 5 hours on unpaid work like housework and caring duties.
