Leaving and Junior Certs get underway all over Ireland
Dublin- Over 114 thousand students begin their Leaving and Junior Certificate Examinations this morning.
For the first time, Leaving Cert students will begin their exams with a new mix of subjects aimed at reducing the writing burden that came with sitting both English papers on the first day.
Native speakers from across the EU will sit exams in their mother tongue in 15 non-curricular languages including Polish, Romanian and Latvian.
Minister for Education Batt O Keefe is extending his best wishes to students this morning.
