Dublin- Gardai have begun their crackdown on dangerous drinving for the bank holiday weekend. Officers are paying particular attention to speeding and drink-driving during St Patrick's and Easter fesitivities. Extra checkpoints will be set up around the country. 70 people have been killed on our roads so far this year, up 14 on the same period in 2007. Last year 481 people were caught drink-driving over the St Patrick's holiday and 445 during Easter.
