Rail disruption continues as talks begin
Dublin- The Labour Relations Commission is due to hold talks with Iarnród Eireann and train drivers' unions today in an effort to resolve a rostering dispute that is set to cause more rail disruption today. The 6.30am Portlaoise to Dublin train was cancelled this morning as a result of the row, while this evening's 5.30pm service from Dublin to Carlow has also been scrapped. The dispute also led to cancellations over the weekend, with buses hired to cover gaps in the service in Cork and Kerry.Iarnród Eireann says it is disappointed that the disruption is happening while talks on the matter are still ongoing.
