Dublin- A survey by the Educational Research Centre has reportedly found that almost half of 15-year-olds are experiencing some form of bullying in Ireland's schools. Reports this morning say 43% of the 4,500 pupils involved in the research said they had experienced harassment ranging from name-calling to being physically hurt.
The survey reportedly found that boys and girls are equally affected and the extent of the problem is the same in fee-paying schools, disadvantaged schools, mixed schools and single-sex schools. It also found that students who are not bullied do better in science, maths and reading tests.
