5 die, 2 dozens injured in road mishap in Saptari
SAPTARI - Five people died and 2 dozens others were injured when a passenger bus veered off the road in Saptari district Tuesday afternoon. The dead ones have been identified as Resham Lal Chaudhary, 60, of Saptari Jhandaul and Tek Narayan Chaudhary,55, of Paspaun. The rest of the three are yet to be identified.
According to a police post of Bagdaha, the accident occurred after the driver could not control the bus’ high acceleration. The passenger bus heading from Siraha to Biratnagar had skidded and fell 20 meters down the road at a stretch of the East-West Highway at Koshi barrage of Bhardaha VDC in Saptari around 3 this afternoon.
