Irish links to two Oscar awards
Dublin- Glen Hansard is celebrating after picking up the Oscar for Best Original Song overnight.
The Frames singer shares the award with his partner Marketa Irglova, for their performance of the song 'Falling Slowly' from the movie Once.
Speaking to the breakfast show a short time ago, Glen Hansard described the win as a real victory for independent film. Elsewhere Irish Resident Daniel Day Lewis picked up the Oscar for best actor, for his role in 'There Will be Blood'.
