Clonmel remains on Flood Alert
Dublin- The town of Clonmel in County Tipperary remains on flood alert, after the river Suir burst its banks in places. Roads on the Waterford side of the town are badly affected - there's also concern about rising flood waters in Carrick on Suir. Homeowners and businesses along the banks of the River Blackwater are counting the costs, after flooding along its path yesterday. Dozens of homes and businesses were affected, particularly in the towns of Mallow and Fermoy in north Cork. The Government is promising to improve flood protection schemes - but say it'll take years before they're finished.
