Driving conditions poor after heavy overnight rain

Dublin- Driving conditions across the country are poor this morning following heavy overnight rain, with flooding reported in many areas.The AA says one lane of the N11 northbound in Co Wicklow is blocked following a mudslide.In Cork, there is serious flooding in Castletownroche, where the river has burst its banks. Mitchelstown, Mallow and Fermoy are also said to be badly affected.Motorists throughout the country are being reminded to reduce their speed and to keep a safe distance from the vehicle in front.They are also being advised to allow extra time for their journey to allow for weather-related delays and disruption.
