102 killed on Irish roads this year
Dublin- A crash that killed two men between Portarlington and Mountmellick yesterday has brought the number of people killed on Irish roads this year to 102.
The men, a taxi driver from Mountmellick and his passenger, died in the two-car collision at about 2pm in Annamoe, Portarlington, Co Offaly. Four other men from the second car were brought to Tullamore and Portlaoise hospitals for treatment, and were later released. The death toll on Irish roads so far this year marks a reduction of about 15% on the number of people killed during the same period last year.
