Bumper tourism numbers, but total spend is down

Dublin- Tourists are coming to Ireland in record numbers but the amount of money they spend is dropping. Releasing their end of year review today, the Irish Tourist Industry Confederation say the sector must strive to provide a value for money destination for overseas visitors.
The group says the outlook for 2008 remains promising but may be shaky given the weak dollar and slowing global markets.
