Gardai call for full-time immigration officers

Dublin- The Garda Representative Association will debate a motion later today on the need for full-time immigration officers within every district of Garda Siochana.

It's day two of its annual conference which is taking place in Tullow in Co. Carlow.
Gardai claim that with the ever increasing number of foreign nationals coming to Ireland, there’s a need for full time immigration officers nationwide.
