NEA reduces load-shedding hours

KATHMANDU- The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has reduced the load shedding hours from seven hours and thirty minutes to six hours daily effective from Thursday.
NEA reduced the load shedding hours after the machine at the Kulekhani Hydroelectricity Project resumed operation. Operation of the 32 Megawatts capacity machine was stalled for repair.
Load-shedding hours for the morning schedule have been reduced by one hour. There will be load-shedding from 5am to 8am in the morning schedule instead of the previous 4am-8am load shedding hours.
Similarly, the load-shedding hours scheduled for 9am to 1 pm has been reduced by 1 hour to 12 pm.
However, no changes have been made to the schedule for the evening hours.
Meanwhile, the load-shedding hours from 12 midnight to 4 am has been completely withdrawn.
