Stabbing deaths double in a year

Dublin- The number of deaths by stabbing has doubled in the past year.
Crime statistics released today also show an increase of 25 percent in the number of murder and manslaugher cases. The Justice Minister has defended the figures pointing out that the rise in headline crime must be viewed against our rising population.
